Where are they now...

Nancy Chippendale Dancers have gone on to pursue various careers in the arts after graduating from our studio. From appearing on film and television to dancing on cruise ships and for professional sports teams, TEAM CHIPPS Alum are proud to say they started here.

Karen Carberry 2000 - graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and as Director of the BC Dance Ensemble. She then went on to pursue her dance career in Los Angeles, accepting a full-year scholarship to the EDGE Performing Arts Center. At the EDGE Karen danced for choreographers such asTerry Best, Leslie Scott, Denise Leitner and Terry Beeman. Upon completion of the program, Karen was signed by BLOC Talent Agency and hired as a dancer and model for commercials, music videos and print work. Karen has worked along stars such as Carmen Electra, Tracy Morgan and Tina Fey to name a few. Karen currently serves on staff at Nancy Chippendale's Dance Studios where in 2010 she was named "Diamond Choreographer" at American Dance Awards. Karen's piece of choreography "Into The Sunset" was also chosen as one of twently dances from around the country to compete in the elite choreography competition entitled "Dancin' Downtwon at the Joyce Theater" in 2010 in NYC.

Kelli Carberry 2002 - graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Marketing where she was a soloist and choreographer for the dance group "BU on Tap". She started her professional dance career as a featured dancer in the off-broadway tap production of "Break the Floor". She continued on to dance with the Boston Celtics Dancers and danced for the boston-based dance company "Urbanity". She has danced in various performance venues all around the world including Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center and Hollywood Studios, Foxwoods Casino and Boston's Wang Center. Kelli has used her dance backround to help land her tv, music video and film roles as a dancer, choreographer and actor. She has worked alongside Ben Affleck, Amy Smart, Kate Hudson, Candice Bergon, Bruce Wills, Michael Copon, Laura Breckinridge, Anne Hathaway and Blake Lively. Kelli has also served as a judge and choreographer for the Miss America Organization and was named National Young Choreographer of the Year in 2004.

Kristina Carberry 2006 - graduated with honors from New York University in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Dance Business. She is currently dancing for three professional tap companies in New York City, Sophisticated Sounds, Folktap and the Adam Metzger's Tap Company. She performed in the 2010 Tap City show, Steps on Broadway Faculty Show as well as Tap Extravaganza, one of NYC's most well known tap showcases. Kristina can be seen in films on the big screen along actors such as Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Bruce Willis and is also working on a few independant films in NYC.

Sheri Distefano Taylor 1991 - currently resides in Florida where she is the director of choreography for all shows and parades at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Sheri started her career as a featured dancer in the "Beauty & the Beast" show in Hollywood Studios and performed in various parades and other Disney productions.

Travis Doucette 2002 - graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor's degree in Dance. He has since danced professionally for the Silver Brown Modern company and multiple cruiseliners. He is currently the dance captain on the "Majesty of the Seas" traveling to Key West and the Bahamas and has previously danced on ships traveling to Egypt, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, Turkey, Spain, France, Greece and all over the Carribbean.

Alyssa Manzi 1997 - graduated from UMASS Amherst and started her dance career as a Patriots Cheerleader. She danced for the team 1999-2002 and was named "Rookie of the Year" during her first season. Alyssa went on to dance for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders and was featured on "Today Throws a Wedding" on NBC.

Meghan McComiskey 2006 - graduated from Providence College after serving as Captain of the Providence Dance Team. She was a 2009 member of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun's Solar Power Dance Team and continues to train at professional studios around New England.

Kristen Twining 2002 - graduated from Bentley College with a Bachelor's degree in Business and currently resides in Connecticut. Kristen made it to the last round of a Radio City Rockette Audition and is now teaching all styles of dance to the competitive team at a studio right outside of NYC.

Many Nancy Chippendale Alumni continue to dance and choreograph for their college dance teams. We are proud of all our TEAM CHIPPS Alum and wish you all luck with your future careers in dance.
